David Selby is "Abraham Lincoln" in the world premiere of the commissioned play THE HEAVENS ARE HUNG IN BLACK. Set in 1862, it opened the newly-restored historic landmark Ford’s Theater in Washington, DC and runs to 3-8. He was guest speaker at the capital’s National Cathedral 2-22 – all honoring the Bicentennial of Lincoln’s birth.

David (as Lincoln) attended the prestigious official re-opening 2-11, where he met President Barack Obama and joined other political figures and celebrities in paying tribute to the theater, its history, and Lincoln’s legacy.

David was keynote speaker at the 275^th Anniversary of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Salem, MA 9-18 He also was a guest speaker at the National Cathedral in Washington, DC, 2-22.
